Chronic prostatitis is a male genitourinary disease characterized by insidious onset, slow progression, unclear etiology, easy relapse, and difficult treatment. The cause of this disease is still unclear, but current research suggests that it may be related to abnormal immune function of the body. Under the stimulation of various external factors, prostatic antigens will be exposed to the body, thus activating the immune response and leading to changes in the content of related cytokines in the body, resulting in tissue cell damage. Through relevant research, it has been found that traditional Chinese medicine has a good effect in controlling cytokines and repairing related injuries. This article aims to provide a reference for the clinical treatment of this disease by elaborating on the immunopathogenesis of chronic prostatitis, and traditional Chinese medicine-based immunotherapy and mechanisms. |
